This was a wonderful time to be in Africa, nothing has changed for the better Rhodesia was more than Zimbabwe will ever be. Just in passing, the Africans living in Zimbabwe did not build the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. The edifice was constructed before the Negroes reached southern Africa by the ancestors of what is now the San Koi or Bushmen.

i read they were constructed by trades from the north east of africa or the middle east who sailed down the coast for gold ivory and slaves. i dont recall where i read it but the author also said that there were river systems lined with foreign trees to mark a river highway system from the coast to the inland areas and these people constructed the ruins????

No way did the Bushmen build the Zimbabwe structures. Their way of life would have absolutely no need for it, they would not have the motivation to build it. It was built some hundreds of years after the Negroes arrived in that area by the Monomatapa Kingdom, who were by all accounts Shona.

  2. A motivating discussion is worth comment. I do think that you need to publish more on this subject matter, it may not be a taboo subject but generally folks don’t speak about such topics. To the next! Cheers!!
