The USSR Enslaved Eastern Europe Then Used A Proxy Army To Invade Rhodesia

The Soviet Union built the Berlin Wall to keep the people of East Germany trapped, against their will, within a genocidal regime. Rhodesia had no such wall but was declared an oppressive racist regime. From 1965 until 1979 Rhodesia was assaulted by a united Western front colluding with the Communist Bloc. Oddly, her black population increased by more than 50% throughout the war years. It was only after ‘independence’ that 50% of the black population left, and continues its mass exodus 40 years later.

A huge portion of the educated black middle class was first to get out of ‘liberated’ Zimbabwe fast! This begs the question why didn’t they flee earlier while apparently suffering under the oppressive racist regime of PM Ian Smith? Western nations, especially Britain, were far more receptive to black Rhodesians than white.

Perhaps they were smart enough to notice that life in the USSR had an uncanny resemblance to life in ‘liberated’ African nations? Here is a brief comparison of life in the USSR vs life in Rhodesia in the 1960’s and 1970’s contradicts the propaganda parroted in the global MSM.

First, a quick overview of the super-powers that invaded Rhodesia with the backing of the international financiers in the West.

Snapshot Overview Of The Super-Powers Invasion of Rhodesia

The “liberation guerillas” in Africa during the period 1949-1979 were predominantly funded by nations in the process of brutally oppressing and slaughtering more than 70 million of their own peoples: Communist China, North Korea, Cuba and the USSR. Is it credible that these vicious Communist regimes altruistically funded terrorism in Africa to save the black man from the ‘racist’ white man? No, it is not.

Behind The Red Mask

As we have previously discussed here, here and here, with the use of black proxy armies the Soviet Union and Communist China invaded Rhodesia. Britain, Western Europe and the United States of America knew this and were complicit in aiding them. The black proxy armies were necessary to portray the invasion of a peaceful nation as a moral race war. Neither Mugabe (ZANU) or Nkomo (ZIPRA) were ‘grass-roots’ leaders. They had no standing as traditional Headmen or *Chiefs and were incompetent as army ‘generals’. They were recruited, indoctrinated, armed and financed by foreign nations from the Communist bloc as per Operation Mayibuye (set-up by Nelson Mandela’s handlers in the Rivonia Plan in South Africa).

*Rhodesia formally honoured the Headmen and Chiefs. They were integrated into Rhodesia’s political system.

“It is the story of betrayal of pro-Western Rhodesia to the ‘stabilizing’ communists in Africa.”

How Mugabe Became The Castro of Africa, Joseph C. Smith
When Communist China’s proxy party ZANU was given power a real race war began with the slaughter of ethnic Matabele.
Nkomo and Mugabe served foreign nations needing a ‘black’ face to invade Rhodesia both were aware of the brutality of life in the USSR and the CCP which was still completing the slaughter of 54,000,000 Chinese civilians. In fact Maoist struggle sessions became a feature of Mugabe’s terror tactics for decades: “Villagers, farm employees and even in some cases, the white farmers themselves, were forced to attend the dreaded pungwes – all night indoctrination meetings which had initially been used in the ‘liberation’ war and again to intimidate voters 3 days prior to voting in the first handover elections. These involved enforced singing of pro-ZANU liberation songs, beatings, humiliations, even murder, of selected individuals as examples to the rest. The ideas of pungwes came from Red China with its ‘cultural revolution’ and was also part of terrorist ‘hearts and mind’ indoctrination of reluctant tribesmen during the Bush War. They continued after ‘liberation’ as a convenient cover for wealth and power grabs by ZANU officials. using race and the complicity of the West to indulge in torture, terror and murder for wealth, including gold and diamonds.”

A Few Facts About Life In The USSR vs Rhodesia

Health

While life expectancy was declining in the USSR during the 1960’s and 1970’s, it was the opposite in Rhodesia for the black population. Despite the West colluding with the Communist bloc and forcing global sanctions on Rhodesia, she continued to invest heavily in education, health, agriculture and infrastructure while successfully fighting the ongoing invasion by super-power nations.

80% of the Rhodesian Police and Army were volunteer black Rhodesian servicemen.

While the people trapped in the USSR were suffering from typhoid and measles epidemics. In Rhodesia we were winning the war against tuberculosis, poliomyelitis, smallpox, whooping cough, diphtheria, and measles.

“The USSR had the highest physician-patient ratio in the world, triple the UK rate, but many medical school graduates could not perform basic tasks like reading an electrocardiogram.”

Back In The USSR

During the same period, in Rhodesia the “largest best equipped hospital in central Africa, tending to 1,000 black Rhodesian outpatients per day and 25,000 in-patient admissions during 1967 alone virtually free while whites had to pay for their medical treatments plus taxes for the blacks. The qualification of black doctors, nurses, assistants was well underway.”

General hospitals and full maternity facilities are within reach of all peri-urban residential areas throughout Rhodesia. Infant mortality in these suburbs has dropped to 20 per thousand. In many other parts of the world the figure is as high as 300 per thousand.

Protected Villages vs Gulags

More than 400 gulags were created killing at least 1 in 4 inmates. There is debate about how many were still operating in the 1960s and 1970s as it was still common for dissidents to vanish.

There is considerable debate as to when the USSR, hidden behind the Iron Curtain, shutdown its genocidal gulag archipelago extending into eastern Europe. Meanwhile, in Rhodesia the white population was prohibited from buying land or setting up competing businesses in the Tribal Trust Lands. Even during the Bush War, significant investment was made in creating Protected Villages for those in isolated areas vulnerable to cowardly terrorist attacks. Most, not all, of these terrorist attacks were on the infrastructure built for remote villages including dams essential for droughts.

Rhodesia Unafraid: “The savagery unleashed on innocent families, black and white, by cowardly Communist terrorists was brutal. An ungodly alliance between Churches and atheistic Communists was exposed and opposed by Rev Arthur Lewis. He fought against this Marxist “liberation theology” and its emphasis on Christians wallowing “in contrived guilt-complexes” for our skin colour and achievements.”
A Protected Village (PV) being built at great expense despite global sanctions and a prolonged war. Relocation to PV’s was for protection, not punishment.

Progressive Development vs Progressive De-Industrialization

Despite snow and Siberian winters not being new, in the 1960’s around 25% of Soviet common people “could not afford a winter hat or coat, which cost an entire month’s wages on average (the equivalent of £1700 in UK terms).”

Meanwhile, Rhodesia was continuing its consistent commitment to investing extensively in progressive development despite the taxes imposed on her white population. As a result a progressive miracle continued to unfold.

An aerial view of part of Bulawayo Municipality’s Mzilikazi Township shows:
A – Mpilo African Hospital, the second-largest in Rhodesia; B – White City Stadium, a well-equipped centre for African sport in Matabeleland; C – Mzilikazi School for township children. Municipalities were the main housing authorities for Africans.  Housing is financed by loans from central government and from the profits of the municipal liquor undertakings, and employers, through a levy, provide a subsidy.

Electricity & Nature vs Pollution

Rhodesia was courageous with the risks she took in a never-before-developed nation. For example the Kariba Dam & Hydroelectric project was “completed ahead of time, under budget, at a quality commended for excellence and, for the benefit of all citizens without crippling debt because it paid for itself…”

Meanwhile, in the USSR “15% of the population lived in areas with pollution 10x normal levels” in the USA (which were already gross by our Rhodesian standards!).

Imagine what we could have achieved if we had been left alone?

Rhodesian Whites were so ‘racist’ that here we see a White PATU (Police Anti-Terrorist Unit) instructor who was having lunch with his wife, all alone and unarmed, risk his life to intervene in the Black mob violence against a Black man. Mr Ballinger saved the life of that man only by risking his own. (Note the Black policeman arrives AFTER the event):

I studied the Rhodesian War for about 20 years trying to get to the bottom of why Rhodesia lost. I didn’t get anywhere until I began to read African Nationalist pamphlets in Exeter’s University library. Then I began to look at things the right way round- history does not work on the premise of why a faction ‘lost’- this is unsystematic, and no coherent patterns will emerge. The real question is ‘why did the black Nationalists win? That has a much larger consistency to it.

Why did they win? Simple- Rex Nhongo was willing to execute 100 villagers to get one informant, as a matter of course. Failure to do so would have enabled the security forces to use the informant’s info and destroy an insurgency cadre. (and spare me the cretinous US ‘terrorist’ linguistic propaganda crap- they are always INSURGENTS whether you personally like their cause or not). It was not until the war was already lost that anthrax and botulism began to take down more insurgents than all other forces combined.
The Nationalists were prepared to use all necessary force from the outset. Smith wasn’t. When New Rhodesia arises, they’ll be digging up Big Bob’s bones and shoving them in the relics box- not Smithy’s. They’ll reconstruct both the RLI and 5th Brigade so god help you if you’re a counter revolutionary in the eyes of New Rhodesia!
